New Bookcases
My husband finally gave in and made my bookcases that I have showed him for months... The kids got new beds and we loved that they are bigger however just didn't have a headboard to go with and wasn't going to invest in any at this time. I thought these bookcases would be wonderful as a focal point kinda like a headboard does and for a fraction of the cost. We paid almost $21.00 for these...
DD loves to read however the boys aren't as interested. I thought this might help and to my wonderful delight it has. Kevin fixed these last Sunday evening.
The kids jumped right to reading on the bed... MAKES MY HEART HAPPY.
I do not like this one as much as DS1's... I think the wall color really makes his pop! However there is a reason the other room is white so we will just leave it alone! LOL -- They are really enjoying seeing their books now instead of having to guess! I have been changing them every 2 to 3 days!

I agree, this really does make it great encouragement to read and serve as a terrific headboard replacement.
How cool!!! I am planning some gradual changes in the kids rooms. Wanted to get them new beds and the boys got very upset. So gradual. I love these shelves for the girls room. They love to read (aka look at books).
