Homemade Playdough
I will admit, I have failed miserably at making homemade playdough... However it doesn't stop me at trying. I tried the same recipe for years and just thought it was me. I mean really, how can you mess up PlayDough?
((giggling because i actually can...))
Well my dd is always playing with playdough making things out of a kit that she got. She said mom can we try to make some more.
--- BIG PAUSE ---
Then I said only if we try another recipe! LOL. So I found another one I was willing to try and it was perfect. I am able to make playdough NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
It turned out wonderful! She done the majority of the mixing and we really love the texture!!
It was so great DS2 wanted to join in the fun!

So here is the recipe:
1 cup flour
1 cup water
2 tbsp veg oil
2 tsp cream of tarter
1/4 cup salt
Mix together in a sauce pot and stir the entire time its cooking. It took almost 5 min before we removed it from the pan. You will tell when it gets hard and binds to the spoon nicely. Then we added red(green for ds2) food coloring and it turned out a wonderful Pink for Valentines day( this was what DD said!). Glad I could make her happy!! After all that's my whole purpose!
