Top 5 Ways I Use Technology In Our Homeschool
Homeschooling is learning at its best(in my thoughts). I learn more teaching my children than I ever did attending public school as a child. I was always to worried about all the wrong things and never about what topics my teacher was teaching. I know I'm not the only homeschool mother that is learning as they are homeschooling their kids. I hear it so often!
I can't pretend to know it all. You would see right through me in a short time, so I am thankful for technology because without it I wouldn't be successfully teaching my children at home!
I'm going to break down what we use!
Doing The Pilgrim Story from Dayspring Academy
I can't understand how people homeschool with out access to the internet. The kids will ask about something and I being a momma that's educating herself through this journey, won't know the answer, but I don't want to stop the learning of my kids so I just come and Google the question or look on a free resource for something to do with them! I honestly have to say I don't think I could homeschool successfully without the internet. I use online resources daily. Whether its an online game for the kids to reinforce something they are using. A power point I am showing them to go along with our Classical Conversations. You tube. Free printouts. I mean who can't use free printables?? I wouldn't hate to think about schooling with out all those!!

2 - Television with Netflix
The two smallers where actually watching schoolhouse rocks...
We watch lots of documentaries. I have a history nut that enjoys them greatly. We streamed many, many things before our move but because of our internet we can't do that any longer so it requires me to seek out my plans a little better!
3 - Digital Camera
We - well I, take pictures of everything. I want to capture as many memories of what my kids are doing as they grow and learn as I possibly can. I have it with me all the time. My husband calls me a momma-razzi, I would agree I earned that name! I always take it with us on field trips, nature hikes and just outside play. I make a scrapbook yearly for each of our kids school year so this is one of my best friends!
4 - Video Camera
Which is actually made into my awesome digital camera but I love videoing my kids as they are being silly! Those are moments I will cherish always. I have many videos of my kids singing and also they make up puppet plays! I want to keep those. I have them on a digital journal so to say. I love hearing those little voices. They will change but I will always have that to hear!
5 - CD Player
We listen to audio books often, we have it for our Classical Conversations Curriculum and we have to have it to listen to our Praise music! My morning just wouldn't be as great if I didn't listen to some up beat Praise music to get my day started.

So use the technology that our ancestors never had. We are truly blessed to have this in our life however we must be careful not to over do it! Go see how my fellow Crew Mates use technology!
